CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
OpenSourceLiving has contracted the services of fulfillment partners to process credit card donations submitted online. Our partner’s secured server encrypts your credit card information so that it may be safely transmitted over the Web. Your credit card information will not be released by OpenSourceLiving or its banking partner to any other party.
DONATING DIRECTLY TO OPENSOURCELIVING
This web site has implemented instant donation capability with an online payment system, which allows immediate transactions; therefore NO refunds for donations equalling to $100,000.00 USD and under will be made after the transaction has been complete.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that before payment, our visitors:
• Read all information on each of the site pages.
• Do not allow children or other unauthorized family members or friends to access your credit cards or your account at the payment site to ensure that no one makes a donation without your permission.
By making a donation on this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the above No Refund Policy.
Donation Agreements are not necessary but are encouraged to be executed for all donations directly to OpenSourceLiving which are in excess of $100,000.00 USD.
Delivery Policy for Non-Profit and Donation Pages
A receipt detailing your Donation will be sent to the specified email address at the time of completion of Donation form. If you require a mailed copy or a faxed copy of your receipt please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are no deliverable products at this time. Please check this policy as it can change at any time.
CONTRIBUTING FUNDS TO A CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
Disputes and Refunds between Campaign Owners and Backers
Campaign Owners are legally bound to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Backers (including delivering any “Give Backs”). Contributions, including the Service Fees portion thereof, are not refundable. If a Campaign Owner is unable to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Backers, the Campaign Owner will work with the Backers to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, which may include the issuance of a refund of Contributions by the Campaign Owner.
OpenSouceLiving is under no obligation to become involved in disputes between Campaign Owners and Backers, or Users and any third party. In the event of any dispute, such as a Campaign Owner’s alleged failure to comply with the Terms or alleged failure in fulfillment of a “Give Back”, we may provide the Campaign Owner’s contact information to the Backer so that the two parties may resolve their dispute.
If you accidentally submitted your contribution twice, please contact us at email@example.com with the name of the campaign you contributed to, your contribution amount, your name and the email address you provided during the contribution process.
Please note that we will not be able to refund your contribution if the amount has already been sent to the campaign Owner. This means that we can only refund your contribution if it was made via direct credit card to a campaign that has not yet ended. If you would like a refund for a contribution made via PayPal to a crowdfunding campaign or if you would like a refund after the campaign has already ended, you will need to contact the campaign owner directly.
What happens if I cancelled the credit card I used to make my original contribution? How will I get my refund?
Your refunded contribution will still get sent back to your original credit card’s issuing bank without issue. From there, the issuing bank will determine how to get the funds to you:
If there is a balance owed on the card, it offsets the balance.
If you opened up a different card, the issuer usually transfers the credit to the new account.
Sometimes the issuer will cut a check to the customer.
Regardless of which way the issuing bank handles this, the card issuer will handle reimbursing the card holder. We recommend reaching out to your issuing bank if you have any questions about how you will be receiving a refund sent to your cancelled credit card.
A Note to Campaign Owners
We are unable to cancel your campaign or issue mass refunds for any campaign that has raised funds. All campaigns that have raised funds must be kept live in order to preserve your campaign information and contributor details.
If you are unable to go ahead with your project or fulfill your “Give Backs” for any reason, we suggest reaching out to your contributors directly to issue any refunds from the funds we disburse to you.
EXCHANGE OF FUNDS WITHIN THE MARKETPLACE
Disputes and Refunds between Buyers and Sellers
Transactions which occur through the OpenSourceLiving Marketplace are conducted purely between the Buyer, Seller and Payment Processor. Payment for your order may be processed immediately, instead of when the order is shipped. Payment Processors will disburse your funds to the third-party seller along with pertinent payment information through their service.
Items of your order will be fulfilled directly by the seller who will also handle all of their customer service. Because OpenSourceLiving isn’t directly involved in the completion of sales arranged with third-party sellers, you’ll need to contact the third-party seller directly for the following issues:
To check on your order or shipment status.
To schedule or reschedule services.
To cancel an order and receive a refund.
To return an order.
If a dispute arises between you and a third-party seller, and you can’t reach an agreement with them, we may provide to you the Seller’s contact information so that you may resolve your dispute. This may occur case-by-case basis.
Note: Sellers work hard to ensure that stock is on hand for delivery, but now and then the availability of a listed item will change by the time an order is placed. If a seller is unable to deliver, they should issue a refund to you promptly so that you can place a new order. Please know that while an occasional stock-out is bound to happen, we do require sellers to keep these to a minimum.
